Since the first generation of Niepoort gave the name Eduardo Kerel Jackob van der Niepoort to their son, the tradition has continued and, since then, all male descendants have had Eduard or Eduardo in their name. And there have been 7 Generations, today with the newest member of the family: EDUARD CARLO VAN DER NIEPOORT. At a time when a new EDUARD is being born in the Niepoort family, a great wine is also born, paying homage to a centuries-old tradition, from a family that came to stay and make history!

Tasting Notes: Violet in color, with ruby touches, Eduardo's is surprisingly fresh. The aroma is quite spicy, with notes of pink pepper, very mineral, combined with graphite from the schist soil, and black cassis fruit. In the mouth it impresses with its electricity and elegance, with a very persistent finish. Eduardo's is a wine that is marked by its complexity and unique character from an old Douro vineyard.
Vinification: Of very limited production, it was produced in 2015 and comes from a single, very old vineyard, 800 meters above sea level, between the areas of Covas and Ferrão, in the Douro.
