Vinification: The vinification process takes place in stainless steel vats with 1 day of pre-fermentation and maceration and 2 days of fermentation. A Colheita port is a wine dating from a single vintage, aged in wooden casks for about seven years and bottled by request and order. Maynard's Colheitas have been carefully selected and aged in French oak casks, to show a rich and full-bodied structure, with a perfect and elegant balance characteristic of older tawnies.
Suggestions: Ready to drink, they are perfect wines to accompany desserts and finish a meal perfectly. Roquefort, cakes, chocolates, nuts, chestnuts, crème brûlé, and as a digestive with cigars. It should be served slightly chilled, especially at high ambient temperatures. Once opened, it can be consumed for up to two months.
