Quinta da Pellada Encruzado Branco 2022

Grape Varieties: 100% Encruzado. 45 years old vineyards with 600m of altitude.

Tasting Notes: The fresh and mineral profile, complex in aroma, presents citrus and floral notes that combine perfectly with a strong mineral profile. Tense and vibrant in the mouth, with a very present acidity, impresses by the lightness it shows despite the excellent volume of the mouth. Dry and austere, it is a white that will benefit a lot in the basement.

Soil: Granite with lines of clay and sand.

Vinification: Fermented and aged in French oak barrels with 4 years of use (400 / 500L). The 18-month internship took place with the minimum of intervention, without batonnage or successive corrections of sulfur dioxide. Bottling was direct without filtration. The reason for this prolonged stage is because the Encruzado grape needs time.
