COZs results from a partnership between António Marques da Cruz (Quinta da Serradinha) and Tiago Teles (Gilda, Raiz). In 2015 the duo started producing their wines at Quinta dos Cozinheiros, in Figueira da Foz. The Quinta has a strong past linked to the world of wines by the hand of its former owner José Mendonça, a friend of the duo. In early 2017, the partnership evolved with the acquisition of a 35-year-old vineyard in Serra de Montejunto. Currently COZs wines are produced from predominantly old vines, many on the slopes of the Serra de Montejunto.
