Grape Varieties: Aragonês, Trincadeira, Moreto, Traditional White Grapes (30%).
Tasting note: Color reminiscent of a “palhete”. Intense aroma of fresh red fruits, with firm and lively tannins in the mouth. Touches of currants and red berries, in a wine dominated by intense freshness. Guard wine, which is already drunk with pleasure.
Vinification: A Wine with a minimum intervention by using a millennial tradicional winemaking method in Talha (amphora) in Alentejo. Our Talha Petroleiro emerges to evoke an old tradition of producing wine from white and red grapes in mixed cropping vineyards that were a tradition in the region from the late 19th to the mid-20th centuries. Our Petroleiro thus respects the tradition and is made of 70% red grapes and 30% white grapes from old rain-fed vines planted in the same plot, resulting in a wine with generous fruit, rich an jovial aromas.
Serving Suggestions: Perfect company for Alentejo gastronomy dishes, with particular emphasis on Black Pork Grilled. It should be served cool, at 15ºC.
Winemaker: António Ventura
