Pacheca Porto Colheita 2000 is the result of the traditional vinifi cation of grapes from old Douro vines where there is a huge diversity of diff erent autochthonous grape varieties in the Region. In the cellar, they were crushed and taken to the traditional stone tank where they were stepped on foot, twice a day, until fermentation was interrupted by the addition of brandy. This wine aged in 550 litter Portuguese oak barrels, with periodic cleanings for clarifi cation and oxygenation, until its bottling in 2019.
Tasting Notes: Red colour with many yellow nuances, typical of a Tawny Porto. Oxidative aroma with notes of honey and nuts. In the mouth it is fresh, alive, full-bodied, and persistent.
Serving Suggestions: It should be served slightly refreshed (15-16ºC). It pairs well with cheese, egg desserts or praline caramel desserts and chocolate.
