Pêra-Manca is the brand that Fundação Eugénio de Almeida uses for its exceptional wines. This wine is produced from the Trincadeira and Aragonez varieties, being full-bodied, complex and elegant, with an aroma of raisins of fruits and essences of the aging woods. Due to the high quality of the tannins and woods used, these are wines that have great longevity, requiring some time to reveal their full potential. It was produced for the first time, by the Eugénio de Almeida Foundation, in 1990.

Grape Varieties: Aragonez and Trincadeira.

Soil Type: Granite

Vinification: Produced from Aragonez and Trincadeira grape varieties, carefully harvested and selected. The grapes come from selected plots of vineyards over 30 years old, in which maturation occurs smoothly, without exaggerated hybrid stress, maintaining the aromatic and extract potential of the varieties. Upon reaching the ideal state of maturation, the grapes are harvested and transported to the winery, where the technological process begins, with total stemming, careful optical selection and slight crushing. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled French oak vats, followed by prolonged post-fermentation maceration. Aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, followed by bottle aging in the cellars of the Cartuxo Monastery. This wine has not undergone tartaric stabilization

Serving temperature: 16ºC to 18ºC.
