Grape Varieties: Baga from Old Vineyards
Tasting Note: Well-defined and delicate aromas of ripe red fruit and light floral notes. Cedar, vanilla, spice and moss add aromatic complexity. In the mouth it shows to be an elegant wine, full of minerality and freshness, reflecting well the calcareous soils from which it comes. It is simultaneously a deep, structured and complex wine, with a long and persistent finish.
Winemaking: Grapes destemmed and fermented in a mill with manual treading. FML and 20 months prolonged ageing in French oak barrels. Tartaric and protein stabilization achieved naturally during a long ageing in a barrel, until the date of bottling, in June 2019.
Pairing: Rich dishes of traditional Portuguese cuisine, red meat, goat meat.
