Description: Port wine from a single harvest of high quality, aged in oak barrels and bottled in the fifth year after the harvest.
Grape Varieties: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca, Tinto Cão. Vineyards aged 40-60 years.
Tasting Note: Ruby. Floral, red fruit, jam with light balsamic notes. Very compelling, balanced, with light cocoa notes.
Gastronomy: > Ideal as a dessert or convivial wine, goes specially well with game meats, chocolate petit gâteau, chocolate cake, brie cheese, camembert. Serve at 18°C/64°F or slightly chilled in hot weather.
Vinification: Grapes selected in the vineyard and cut by hand. Fermentation at controlled temperature with maceration, interrupted by the addition of wine spirit. Aging: In wooden containers until bottled, in the fifth year after the harvest. This is followed by a stage in the bottle until it is placed on the market.
