Quinta da Romaneira Dona Clara Tinto 2019

Grape Varieties: 42% Touriga Nacional, 26% Syrah, 10% Tinta Roriz, 9% Touriga Francesa, 8% Petit Verdot and 5% Tinto Cão.

Tasting Notes: Complex and elegant nose of raspberries and blackberries complemented by some sophisticated notes of spices and wood. It is pure, intense and somewhat exotic. On the palate it reveals a firm structure, continuing to show more of its complex character of ripe fruit. The solid tannins, at the same time round and well integrated, suggest a good period of ageing. It is a modern and seductive wine, which has in its charm a touch of the wild flora of the Douro. A concentrated wine with good concentration.

Vinification: Fermented in stainless steel vats for 7 days, after which malolactic fermentation takes place.

Ageing: 100% of this wine is aged in French oak barrels for 10 months, 9% being new wood (225l barrels).
