To our grandfather, the DREAMER. The ex-libris of Quinta do Pôpa, the greatest and most heartfelt tribute. The result of the choice of our best barrels and released only in years when the vineyard offers its full potential.
Grape Varieties: Mixture of Old Vines, Tinta Amarela, Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca. Quinta Wine. The grapes come from vineyard plots located in Quinta do Pôpa, located in the Cima Corgo sub-region.
Winemaking: Manual harvesting in a 20kg box with total stemming and no crushing. The berries were received whole in a press where they were subsequently crushed using the traditional method of foot treading. Alcoholic fermentation took place entirely in a mill and malolactic fermentation in used French oak barrels.
Ageing: Aged for 12 to 15 months in used French oak barrels. To define the batch, the best barrels from the 2017 harvest were selected, which subsequently aged in stainless steel vats for 5 years.
Gastronomy: Wines that, by combining a freshness component with notes of complexity and finesse, along with suggestive persistence, have a good capacity to combine with various types of gastronomy and varied confections.
