This Ruby Reserve with a unique personality is fermented in stainless steel vessels with 50% grape-stripping in a controlled temperature. It is the result of three harvests.
Grape Varieties: The most noble grape varieties in the Douro.
Tasting Note: Of deep ruby color, the Reserve Ruby is a Port Wine that has vinous aroma, ripe fruit, prune, fig, blackberry and cherry. In the mouth, it’s vinous, full bodied, soft, fruity and balanced.
Gastronomy: Goat and sheep blue cheeses, red meats and chocolate.
Vinification: Stalking at 50%, fermentation in stainless steel vats with automatic reassembly and temperature control.
Ageing: 12 months in stainless steel vats, 26 months in oak barrels, 6 months in French oak barrels and 3 months in bottles.
Ageing Capacity: It is an intense, ripe and full-bodied wine, and a positive ageing in the bottle is predictable for a several years after bottling, with the wine acquiring a character of its own.
