A CLASSIC FROM ALENTEJO. Tapada de Coelheiros red is a historical wine that was first produced in 1991. Since the beginning, Cabernet Sauvignon has been an important part of the blend, and so it remains to this day, having become one of the icons of this variety in Portugal.
Grape Varieties: 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Alicante Bouschet.
Soil: Granitic origin with high clay content, sandy texture and low fertility.
Tasting Notes: Powerful nose with black fruit notes involved in spices and tobacco. The intensity of Cabernet Sauvignon's freshness stands out in the mouth, followed by the silky texture of Alicante Bouschet, leading to an elegant and persistent finish.
Ageing Potential: 10/15 Years
Winemaker: Luís Patrão
