GIZ is a sparkling wine that uniquely expresses the characteristics of the calcareous soils from which it comes. Coming from centenary vines, from the baga variety planted in poor and stony soils, it was produced in total commitment to nature. After fermentation in this bottle, rest on lees for 36 months was added. In the end, we obtain a sparkling wine without masks, authentic, structured, elegant and complex, full of individuality and character.
Grape Varieties: Baga from Old Vineyard
Tasting Note: Complex, delicate and well defined aromas of floral and red fruit, resembling dried orange blossom, cherry core and raspberry. Notes of toast and brioche add aromatic complexity. In the mouth it shows to be an elegant wine, full of minerality and freshness, reflecting the limestone soils from where it originates. It is imultaneously a deep, structured and complex wine, with a long and lingering finish.
Vinification: Grapes lightly pressed with whole bunch. After fermentation in the bottle, a rest on lees for 30 months was added. 1.320 bottles were produced.
Gastronomy: Suckling pig from Bairrada.
Winemaker: Luís Gomes
