This first edition marks the return of the Baga variety to these vineyards, located 500 meters above sea level on the right bank of the Dão River. Soils of granite origin with a lot of quartz and very clayey give a special character to these grapes. This red aged in a single 1500 liter oak barrel.
Grape Varieties: Baga (30%), Alfrocheiro (50%), Touriga Nacional (20%).
Climate: Cold, windy and humid autumn and winter. Mild spring and dry, hot summer.
Soils: Granitic with Clay
Tasting Notes: Delicate and rich nose with notes of cocoa, pepper, cherry, flint and wild shrubs. In the mouth it has several dimensions: tense, voluminous, structured, fresh, with silky tannins and quite persistent.
Other Notes: Has the potential to age in the bottle. Store discarded bottles in a cool place. Consume at a temperature of 16°C.
Vinification: Fermentation in a mill with 40% whole bunch.
Ageing: 2 years in oak barrels and aging in bottles since then.
