With unique characteristics in its terroir, Vidigueira is synonymous with wine. With strong thermal amplitudes between day and night, the shelter of the Serra do Mendro promotes the maintenance of morning humidity in the vineyards. Mostly schist soils and typical grape varieties, deeply adapted to the region, translate into the wine glass the heritage of Terra de Vinho.
Grape varieties : Old vines from Trincadeira and Aragonez.
Tasting note: Open in color, a beautiful ruby red. Very pure aroma of red fruits, where cherry stands out. In the mouth, its lightness and fresh acidity give context to a light texture, with succulent and delicate tannins. Ready for immediate consumption. At the table or away from it and with good company. It is recommended to consume at 16ºC.
Winemaking: In old vineyards in Trincadeira and Aragonez, the grapes that give rise to this wine are hand-harvested. The chosen ripeness point seeks fresh fruit, crisp acidity and light body. Low intervention winemaking, begins with foot treading. The start of spontaneous fermentation leads to the press and only the liquid fraction is sent to small stainless steel tanks. With total aging in stainless steel tanks, the purity of the fruit and the natural texture of the wine are maintained without intervention. After decanting, we bottle an unfiltered, unstabilized wine.
