With unique characteristics in its terroir, Vidigueira is synonymous with wine. With strong thermal amplitudes between day and night, the shelter of the Serra do Mendro promotes the maintenance of morning humidity in the vineyards. Mostly schist soils and typical grape varieties, deeply adapted to the region, translate into the wine glass the heritage of Terra de Vinho.
Grape Varieties: Roupeiro, Antão Vaz and Arinto (old vines).
Tasting Note: Straw color, with green reflections. Aroma of citrus fruits and white flowers in harmony with some vegetal notes. In the mouth it is juicy and has fresh acidity. Ready for immediate consumption. On the table or away from it, with good company. It is recommended to consume at 10 to 12ºC.
Winemaking: The grapes that make up this wine are hand-picked from old vineyards in Roupeiro, Antão Vaz and Arinto. The chosen ripeness point seeks fresh fruit and crisp acidity. Low intervention winemaking, begins with foot treading. The start of spontaneous fermentation leads to the press, only the liquid fraction is sent to small stainless steel tanks. With total ageing in stainless steel tanks, the purity of the fruit and the natural texture of the wine are maintained without intervention. After decanting, we bottle an unstabilized wine, with light filtration.
