Laligne was born out of a common passion between Fred and Carlos and the desire to develop a line of wines that would express their own style of wine from the Dão Region. The grapes come from a plot of century-old vineyards in Jaen, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz and Alfrocheiro. The exact percentage of each of the castes is not known.
Grape Varieties: Jaen, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Alfrocheiro.
Tasting Note: A wine of great aromatic intensity. Expressing the floral character of the Dão was a priority. The aroma of young red fruits with some spices allowed the spicy character of the Dão to also be well represented. In the mouth, the tannins are fine and elegant while showing the seriousness of the region. The finish is very long showing all the depth of aromas and flavours.
Ageing: The ageing was done part in concrete, stainless steel and old oak barrels. After one year, the final blend was made and aged for one more year in 550 old barrel to assure the total harmony of the final blend.
Gastronomy: It should be served at a temperature of 15º-16ºC. Decant 1 hour before so that the aromas are fully expressed.
Storage Time: 10 to 15 Years
Winemakers: Carlos Raposo, Frédérick Blais
