Maçanita Wines is a project, of two brothers and two enologists. Wines made by two hands, some wines, despite being produced together, are the preferences, manias, or visions of each one of the brothers. This is a Viosinho by Joaninha, where the freshness shows all the potential of the variety. Viosinho by Joaninha is a fresher and more mineral expression of this traditional Douro variety, famous for its great aromatics and sweetness. The vineyard is 15 years old, planted at 700 meters of altitude in the sub-region of Baixo Corgo (part of the Douro with greater Atlantic influence and therefore greater freshness). The result is a pure and mineral wine that embraces at the same time all the fruit and exuberance of the Viosinho variety. This is a Viosinho from the Altos.
Grape Varieties: 100% Viosinho
Tasting Note: A fresh, pure and mineral wine that embraces at the same time all the fruit and exuberance of the Viosinho grape variety. Aroma pineapple, with notes of citrus fruit.
Vinification: The grapes are hand picked and transported in 18 kg boxes. In the winery, direct pressing of the whole bunch, spontaneous fermentation in horizontal vats. Aged for 5 months in stainless steel.
Gastronomy: Goes well with oysters, seafood, pasta, grilled fish, salads and white meat dishes.
