Grape Varieties: Blend of typical Douro grape varieties with a predominance of Rabigato and Malvasia Fina. Old vines over 90 years old planted at altitudes between 500m and 650m.
Tasting Notes: Clear, straw-yellow colored wine. On the nose, restrained floral aromas and strong minerality. Well-marked acidity with evidence of citrus, green apple and pineapple. Slight touch wood. In the test, it reveals a good length of mouth. Well-integrated acidity to dominate and elegant with medium long finish. Tense, it finishes with a very light and balanced toasty touch coming from aging in used French oak barrels, not overlapping the wine. We believe it is a wine with good potential for ageing in the bottle.
Vinification: Spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts and minimal intervention.
Ageing: 10 months in old French oak barrels without battonage. Naturally stabilized wine subject to deposit.
Gastronomy: It goes well with medium-fat dishes, fish dishes, white meat, soft cheeses, risotto and poultry.
