Grape Varieties: Touriga Nacional (40%), Jaen (25%), Alfrocheiro (25%), Tinta Roriz (5%) and Tinto Cão (5%).
Tasting Notes: Clear ruby-colored wine, with a fruity aroma reminiscent of wild berries and pine needles, with hints of vanilla provided by the oak wood. In the mouth it is powerful with the astringency typical of youth. Very balanced, foreshadowing a good aging potential.
Vinification: Crushing the grapes with total destemming, followed by fermentation in stainless steel vats, with selected yeasts at a temperature of 28-30ºC. The maceration time was 13 days and the pumping over was smooth. Before bottling, the wine was subjected to only a slight filtration through cellulose plates in order to preserve its entire structure.
Ageing: Carried out in 225 liter French oak barrels for 6 months.
Gastronomy: Barbecue, meat dishes and cheeses. Best serving at a temperature of 16º-18ºC.
Skills: It is a wine that satisfies young and fruity wine connoisseurs, but it will gain immensely from aging in the bottle for several years. In 10 years it will certainly be a source of pride for those who produced it.
