Perpetuating the stories of José Lourenço, affectionately called Grandfather Escrivão.
Grape Varieties: Produced from several plots of old vines, at altitudes between 500 and 600 meters.
Altitude of the vineyards: 500 to 600m
Soil: Shale and Shale/Granite
Tasting Notes: It has a very fresh and intense aroma, where the seductive aromas of violets and very ripe berries from the Douro stand out. In the mouth, very elegant and balanced, a lot of red fruit concentration, evolving into a wine of excellent volume and solid structure, presenting fresh tannins with a fine and elegant texture. A wine with a captivating, long and persistent finish.
Vinification: The technology is minimalist, using granite presses with mechanical treading. After fermentation, with about a week of tanning, the wine was transferred to stainless steel vats, where it clarified naturally. After the malolactic, it was transferred to oak barrels, where it aged for about twelve months.
How to Serve: Serve at 15ºC, decanting is recommended. Given its characteristics, it is suitable for celebration days, to shine oven dishes.
