As a dry Madeira wine, it is especially suitable for an aperitif or to accompany starters. Equally great to be enjoyed on its own. Produced in a notable harvest year from the Tinta Negra grape variety. This grape, recognized as being part of the recommended grape varieties, represents a production of more than 60% of the annual total of Madeira wine. Being a grape variety that easily adapts to the different wine-growing areas of the island, it is worth highlighting the most significant quantities in Câmaras de Lobos and São Vicente.
We remember that it is important to let the wine air for some time after opening, in order to develop the fullness of its aromas.
If you consume only part of the wine, the rest can be kept in the bottle for many years, and it is possible that it will evolve through this prior aeration, not forgetting to use the additional cork so that it seals completely. The bottle should be kept in a vertical position protected from extremes of cold or heat and served at a temperature close to 18ºC.
If it remains in the bottle for many years, it will be likely to accumulate some natural deposits, which are a sign of life and part of the intrinsic qualities of this genuine Madeira.
It is advisable to take essential care when serving to avoid cloudiness and, if necessary, decant.
