Verdelho from a single harvest, aged in oak casks.
Grape varieties: 100% Verdelho.
Tasting Notes: Golden amber color with orange reflections. Intense, ethereal and penetrating wood bouquet, with notes of iodine, dried fruits and spices. In the mouth it is presented as a medium-dry wine, with a well-defined acidity and body, refreshing sweetness and firm tannins. Notes of honey, tropical fruits and spices.
Gastronomy: It can be enjoyed simply, as an aperitif or to combine with exquisite soup, sushi or with sweet and sour and tropical entrees. Best served at a temperature lower 18ºC. After opening, the wine will remain for several months in good condition.
Winemaking: Spout open. Stalked grapes and pressed. Fermentation and temperature control. Interruption of fermentation by adding 96% vol. alcohol.
Aging: In French or American oak casks, in the traditional bedding process until bottling for a period of not less than 23 years.
Expected Longevity: Madeira wines, due to their characteristics and fortification, are of great longevity. Winemaker: Ivo Couto
