Moscatel de Setúbal is a dessert wine produced in the Setúbal Region demarcated since 1907. Casa Agrícola Horácio Simões knew how to bet on this noble grape from the region and produce this nectar. .
Tasting Note: Light topaz color. Intense aroma of muscat, floral, spices, raisins and nuts. On the palate it is round, very soft and fresh. Long and fresh aftertaste
Gastronomy: As an aperitif or digestive or as an accompaniment to desserts at a temperature of 18ºC.
Winemaking: Fermented in a cement vat without temperature control, because the wort is pouted with brandy shortly after the start of fermentation. After destemming, the grapes ferment with the film. During the winter (5-6 months) the wine remains with the pasta and is then removed. The masses are pressed and this press wine is separated.
Ageing: Minimum 2 years in stainless steel and wooden casks.
Expected Longevity: If kept in good condition it has great possibilities for improvement over many years.
Winemaker: Luís Camacho Simões
