Ensaio means test or trial. With this wines we pretend to show the best of our terroir and our grape varieties, testing them in different winemaking technics and different approaches.
Location: Montargil, Portalegre, Alentejo, PORTUGAL
Terroir: CERTIFIED ORGANIC VINEYARD. At 500m distance, the dam of Montargil as a great influence in the microclimate, increasing humidity and lowering the temperatures.
Grape Varieties: TOURIGA NACIONAL (100%)
Tasting Note: Pale color, creamy mouthfeel and great acidity. The aroma has fresh red fruits, floral hints and discrete barrel notes.
Winemaking: The clusters were hand-harvested and carefully sorted at the winery. Gentle all bunch pressing. Wild fermentation took place in used french oak barrels with controlled temperature. The wine aged for 7 months in barrel with bâtonnage.
Food Pairing: Fish, seafood, sushi, vegetarian dishes, cold salads, pasta and pizza.
