With grapes coming from close to the border of the demarcated region, namely old vines based in Rabigato. The altitude of these vineyards, close to 650m, and the granite soil, which produce wines with excellent aging capacity, are noteworthy.
Grape Varieties: 100% Rabigato.
Soil: Granitic origin.
Sub-Region: Douro Superior
Winemaking: After manual harvesting and transportation to the winery in small boxes (18kg-20kg), the bunches were destemmed and the grapes underwent a short maceration and fermentation at a low temperature in a stainless steel tank. Aging: 8 months in stainless steel on fine lees.
Tasting Notes: This wine presents white fruit on the nose with great intensity, fresh notes and is very aromatic. Well-balanced wine in the mouth with a very long, persistent body and endless freshness.
Pairing and longevity: Oily fish, white meat and grilled meats, at a temperature of 12ºC. It can be consumed immediately or within the next 10 to 20 years, as long as it is stored lying down in a cool, dry place, away from light and without temperature fluctuations.
