This wine is the result of our effort to conserve the genetic wealth that still exists in the Dão region.
Grape Varieties: Field blend from Old Vines. Vineyards with 80 years located at an altitude of 500m.
Tasting Notes: The youthful and intense color leads to a deep aroma. It impresses for its purity and finesse, with red, fresh fruit and a spring floral. In the mouth it is fresh and silky but with great tension. The elegance combined between minerality and tannic structure shows a unique complexity.
Soil: Granitic with clay and sand lines.
Winemaking: 2013 was a wet year, with rain during winter and spring. As a result, the surf took place fifteen days later than the previous year and the entire vegetative cycle was delayed. The summer was not as hot as usual and the nights were quite cold in the last two weeks of August. The harvest was carried out between 21 and 25 September. Fermentation took place in a stainless steel mill at controlled temperature (28º to 31º C). Cuvaison for 18 days, followed by a 14-month aging in allier oak casks.
