Grape Varieties: Touriga Franca

Tasting Note: Deep purple in colour. The nose delivers fresh red fruit aromas, in perfect harmony with light notes of spice. The palate starts in an engaging way, evolving into a wine of excellent volume and structure. Round tannins, well integrated with lovely fresh red fruit hints. The finish is fresh and persistent. This is a balanced wine that conveys the true essence of the grape variety.

Vinification: The grapes, coming from the best Touriga Nacional plots of Quinta do Crasto, are brought to the winery in 22kg plastic boxes where they undergo strict selection. After complete destemming and slight crushing, the juice is transferred to temperature controlled stainless-steel tanks. Once the alcoholic fermentation is completed, the juice is gently pressed.

Ageing: 18 Months in French oak barrels.

Gastronomy: Serving temperature 16-18ºC.
