The vines are planted on limestone slopes and exposed to the freshness of the sea winds. These conditions give the wines a mineral and fresh character and the natural production method allows them to evolve harmoniously and reveal themselves over time and at the table.
Grape Varieties: Castelão, Encruzado, Arinto, Fernão Pires. Vineyards aged around 68 years.
Soil: Clay-limestone
Vinification: Castelão from direct press with maceration of skins from Encruzado, Arinto and Fernão Pires. Three-year aging in used oak barrels. No added oenological products, with the exception of small amounts of sulfur dioxide.
Ageing: Used oak barrels for 3 years.
