Vinha da Migalha By Palato do Côa Branco 2017

A special wine, made only in years of extraordinary harvests, with the best grapes from the Quinta's old vines.

Vinha da Migalha: This wine comes from the Migalha vineyard, located at Quinta da Saudade, in Muxagata. It is a vineyard that owes its name to our partner Migalha (descendant of Dona Antónia Ferreira, known as Ferreirinha) and that is populated with old vines, over 50 years old, of varied varieties, which are rare but excellent grapes. These vines only produce crumbs, about 2 to 3 bunches each, that is, 200 to 300 grams of grapes per plant, but crumbs are also used to make wine. The crumbs of the vine and the vine of Migalha naturally inspired the name of the wine.

Launch 1st White Wine: Colheita 2015. After aging for 5 years in used barrels and 1 year in bottle.

Grape Varieties: Varieties from an old vine with more than 50 years.

Tasting Note: Elegance and freshness that only a slightly alkaline soil can give rise to.
