In order to obtain the ideal freshness for our VZ Branco, we harvest grapes that grow at an altitude of about 600 meters in the Murça district. Here we found an Old Vineyard, around 70 years old, with a mixture of grape varieties that include Rabigato, Viosinho, Gouveio and Códega.
Tasting Notes: Fresh and vibrant, with an intense golden straw color. On the nose it has a fantastic concentration of fruit aromas. Fermentation and aging in barrels brings a very elegant touch on the palate, with great balance and subtlety, and a very long and fruity finish, balanced with an impressive touch of acidity.
Vinification: Destemmed grapes, lightly crushed in a pneumatic press, and the resulting must is decanted into 2,500 liter stainless steel vats for 24 hours at 10°C, and then cleaned in new 225 liter French oak barrels, where it ferments for 25 days at controlled temperatures between 10°C and 14°C. Ageing in these barrels for about 9 months, with battonage.
