Grape Varieties: Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Amarela and Vinhas Velhas.
Tasting Note: Ruby concentrated. Concentrated aroma of fresh black plums and fruit, with a light peppery touch. Complex palate, solid structure, with a thick texture, nuances of prunes, firm and balanced tannins. Full of character. End of test very long and complex.
Vinification: Grapes not destemmed, one day of pre-fermentative maceration and two days of tumultuous fermentation in cement mills with processing at 8º Baumé.
Ageing: 4 years in oak barrels with controlled oxidation, followed by evolution in bottle.
Gastronomy: Chocolate cakes, dark chocolate, cured cheeses… or a cigar.
Consumption Temperature: Serve between 15º and 16ºC.
Expected Longevity: It can be consumed immediately or within the next 10 years, as long as it is kept lying down in a cool and shady place. Once opened, they should be consumed within 4-5 days.
