This Madeira is a "blended" with an average age of 30 years, from the best and oldest wines of this variety that age in our cellars in Funchal and which still constitute our valuable stock today.
Grape varieties: 100% Malvasia.
Tasting Notes: Topaz / brownish color, acquired by contact with old American oak wood, with orange reflections. Intense aroma of exotic woods. Notes of honey, tobacco, spice, chocolate, vanilla and roasted almond. Light iodized notes. The palate has an intoxicating, enveloping flavor, characteristic of the hull wood, copious and complex. Notes of dried fruits, vanilla and curry, among others. Acidity and body well structured and in harmony with sweetness and tannins.
Gastronomy: Graceful and attractive for anybody occasion. Special at the end of the meal as a digestive par excellence or as an accompaniment to a good cigar. He must be served at a temperature between 15ºC and 16ºC. It doesn't have to be decanted. After opening, the wine will remain for several months in good condition.
Winemaking: Spout open. Stalked grapes and pressed. Fermentation and temperature control. Interruption of fermentation by adding 96% vol. alcohol.
Aging: In French oak barrels and 650 liters of wine until bottling. This Madeira is a "blended" with an average age of 30 years, from the subdivision of the best wines of this variety that age in our cellars in Funchal and which still constitute our valuable stock today.
