Grape Varieties: 100% Tinta Barroca
Tasting Notes: Ruby red in color, fresh aroma and notes of dry bush, spices and also red fruits and wild blackberries. It is an easy wine to drink, smooth on entry with smooth tannins, round mouth but with a long and persistent aftertaste, leaving aromas of fresh fruit and spices.
Vinification: Produced from one of the most planted varieties in the Douro vineyards, after manual harvesting the grapes arrive at the winery in 20kg boxes, there after being destemmed, the grapes naturally ferment by the action of indigenous yeasts in a cement vat between the 24ºC and 28ºC, with maceration for about a month. The ageing takes place on fine lees until bottling, in underground cement vats, for about 10 months.
