Terroir: Calcareous clay soils, rich and with a great capacity for exchange with plants. Mediterranean climate with Atlantic influence, great temperature range, maximum sun exposure with vines facing south, planted on a slope that provides excellent drainage of the land and thus contributes to the balance of the vines with reflection on low yields, concentrated grapes and acidity potential that produces fresh and long-lasting wines.
Grape Varieties: Alvarinho 100%
Tasting Notes: There are varieties with which we identify more, others with which we identify less. Alvarinho grapes are one of the latter. When João Barbosa decided to plant this classic Portuguese variety, his daughter Teresa challenged him to surprise her. Father and daughter made, from a variety that is not their favorite, a classic but irreverent wine in a perfect intergenerational construction. This Nymph of Teresa joins her father's more conservative vein with her daughter's stubborn and obstinate character. Result? A tense wine, with a strong character and to drink with time and good company.
Vinification: Grapes harvested in a first phase to enhance the freshness in terms of aromas and acidity. Fermentation in stainless steel vats and aging in barrels.
