Grape Varieties: 100% Baga
Vineyards: The vineyards are located at the heart of Bairrada, in Anadia, between the Caramulo and Buçaco mountains at an elevation of about 50 meters above the sea level. The older vineyards were planted in 1972, followed by new plantations in 1999.
Vinification: Total destemming, prolonged skin maceration, alcoholic fermentation at 26º and 12 months aging in French oak barrels 30% new barrel and 70% second barrel.
Ageing: Minimum 9 months in the cellar.
Tasting Notes: Colour: Defined garnet. Aroma: Predominance of ripe red and forest fruits and toasty nuances. Mouth: Fruity with round tannins that show off its elegance, persistent and long aftertaste.
Pairing: Plain red meat dishes, and soft cheese.
Winemaker: Hugo Louro and Carla Rodrigues.
