The nobleness of our old vineyards and 30% Viosinho grapes, associated to the ground and the microclimate of Douro has given this wine personality and a unique character. It has fermented in oak casks for 6 months. We recommend to drink it at a temperature of 10-12ºC.
Grape Varieties: Mixture of several traditional Douro grape varieties (Vinhas Velhas) and 30% Viosinho.
Tasting Notes: Colour: Citrus/Amber Colour. Aroma: Ripe tropical notes, slight vanilla. Flavor: Fruity,well balanced and good acidity.
Vinification: Cold skin contact, pressing with partial exhaustion.60% Partial fermentation in French oak barrels. 40% in vat, bâtonnage with fine lees.
Ageing: 60% of wine ageing 6 months in french oak and 2 months in the bottle.
Gastronomy: Goes along well with appetizers, roasted codfish and meats.
Ageing Potential: It is a ripe and intense wine, specific of the “Terroir” of the Douro, and a positive ageing in the bottle is predictable for a period of 4 to 5 years after bottling.
