Grape Varieties: Alicante Bouschet and Tinta Caiada - Vinhas Velhas.
Tasting Notes: Color: Clean appearance, intense dark ruby color. Aroma: aroma of raisins, red fruit and chocolate compote, with a lot of complexity and finesse. Palate: In the mouth it is intense, full, with soft but persistent tannins, providing a long and complex aftertaste.
Vinification: Hand-picked by the box during the cooler hours of the day. Destemming, crushing, alcoholic fermentation in vats and stainless steel vats with controlled temperature (21-24ºC).
Ageing: Aged in French oak wood for 16 months. After bottling followed 6 months in bottle aging.
Gastronomy: Goes well with all meat dishes, with starters based on pâtés, sausages, cured cheeses. It should be drunk at a temperature of 16ºC.
