The production of this wine is subject to a series of requirements that include the geographical location of the vineyard, the type of soil and type of winemaking technology, etc. These conditions mean that our wines obtain recognized quality on the national and international market.
Grape Varieties: Bastardo e Castelão.
Soil: Sandy on limestone clay subsoil.
Tasting Notes: Color: Open ruby. Aroma: Intense, fresh, fruity, an excellent combination of natural aromas characteristic of the BASTARDO and CASTELÃO grape varieties. Taste: Enveloping, fresh, intense and with good volume in the mouth, Aftertaste: Fresh and gastronomic.
Serving Suggestions: Served at a temperature of 10ºC/14ºC, it goes well with cheeses, intense and spicy cuisine.
Winemaking: In the “Old School” model. Fermented in a small mill with minimal intervention. Malolactic fermentation takes place in used French oak barrels, with vigorous battonage for 6 months.
Ageing: In half-used French oak barrels and later in bottles.
Expected Longevity: If stored in good conditions, it has a great chance of improving for many more years.
Storage: Bottle lying down, in a place with humidity around 60% and a constant temperature (10-20ºC), and away from direct light.
