Sub-region: Serra da Estrela or Alva

Soil: Granitic

Grape Varieties: Jaen Tinta Roriz, Alfrocheiro and Touriga Nacional. Vineyard age 25-30 years.

Tasting Notes: Color: Intense ruby. Nose: Fruity, predominating the notes of ripe red fruits and a slight vanilla in the background. Mouth: Fruity and with well-integrated wood Fresh and elegant.

Vinification: In fermentation vats at a controlled temperature of 24ºC, with twice-daily pumping over for 10 minutes.

Ageing: 50% of the batch in stainless steel vats and the remaining 50% in used barrels for 12 months.

Pairing: Wine with a lot of versatility, but showing a special appetite for oven dishes and soft cheeses.
