Sub-region: Serra da Estrela or Alva

Soil: Granitic

Grape Varieties: Alfrocheiro. Vineyard age 25-30 years.

Tasting Notes: Color: Intense garnet red. Nose: Fine and balsamic, with ripe fruit. Mouth: Intense, with strong tannins with a lot of structure and notes of forest fruits.

Vinification: After a selected harvest of grapes of the variety, partial destemming was carried out without crushing, followed by fermentation at a controlled temperature of 24.5ºC in a closed vat.

Ageing: 70% of the batch aged in stainless steel and 30% in French oak barrels for 9 months.

Pairing: Red meat dishes, mainly roasted and grilled meat dishes.
