Grape Varieties: 100% Baga
Soil: Clay-Limestone
Tasting Note: Color: Dark ruby. Bouquet: Intense aroma, fragrant and clean, wild berries crushed, some attractive vegetable. Taste: Medium body, with quality fruit, quite lively. Final Note: Firm tannin and pronounced acidity at the end with claw.
Gastronomy: Ideal to accompany red meats or stews like beef and lamb. Service Temperature 15-18C.
Vinification: Total destemming, fermentation in small vats using mechanical tread. Ending os alcoholic and malo-lactic fermentation in used wood, followed by rest in second year barrels and vats, for up to 12 months.
Preservation: Storage or preservation conditions are very importante if one wants to preserve the wine characteristics and guarantee a steady evolution over time. The storage place shoulde be ventilated to prevent proliferation of fungi and guarantee suitable room temperature. Bottles should be kept in a horizontal position safe from oscillations, vibrations or unpleasant odours. The wine must furthermore be stored way from light and in a high relative humidity environment.
