Quinta da Fonte Nova Tawny 40 Anos

Terroir: Created on the slopes of the Douro Superior in schist soils, the vines are close to the river creating high maturation but retaining the freshness of the grapes, in line with the characteristics of the Region.

Tasting Notes: Notes of smoke and raisins, complex, structured, with a fresh and long aftertaste.

Vinification: Created from the great red grape varieties of the Douro, the musts see their fermentation interrupted by the addition of wine brandy, using the traditional production method, followed by prolonged aging in oak.

Ageing: Quinta da Fonte Nova is created by joining wines from various harvests, aged in oak already used by the producer's ancestors, and with an average age of over 40 years.
