Grape Varieties: Touriga Nacional (40%), Tinta Roriz (30%), Touriga Franca (30%).
Winemaker's Notes: For the first time the grapes for the Vintage were harvested in August! The vast majority of grapes come from Quinta dos Muros, where Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz withstood the summer heat very well. These grapes were macerated in closed vats while the grapes from the traditional plots were vinified in a lagar. After slow and careful aging in our cellars in the Douro, this Vintage now has a ripe fruity but with an excellent freshness. It shows a strong minerality that balances the concentration and structure of this Port very well.
Vinification: Maceration in stainless steel vats and vats at an approximate temperature of 28-30ºC.
Ageing: One year in cask and bottling the second year.
Suggestion: It's easy to pair this Vintage... but it has its preferred place after dinner, where with just a few dried fruits it can promote a good conversation. It can be included in vegetarian diets.
