Grape Varieties: Touriga Franca 40%, Tinta Roriz 25%, Tinta Barroca 20%.
Tasting Notes: Very dense reddish brown color with garnet nuances. Still tight aroma with a charming character, dried fruits, hints of small, enchanted purple plums and old wood, revealing great potential for barrel maturation. Warm, complex, well-balanced flavors, notes of dried fruits, with a very good aftertaste.
Vinification: Stainless steel vats with automatic pumping over. Grapes not de-stemmed. 1 day of pre-fermentation maceration, 2 days of fermentation with the improvement occurring at 8 ºBaumé.
Ageing: Ages in 600 liter oak barrels until bottled.
Gastronomy: Foie gras, Roquefort, minced meat pies, chocolates, nut ice creams, orange cakes, toasted almonds and as a digestive with cigars.
Serving Temperature: Serve between 12 and 15ºC.
Storage Conditions:: Once opened, it can be consumed for 1-2 weeks without losing its qualities.
