The history of João M. Barbosa wines begins in 1976, with João Matos Barbosa himself selling wine in the family business. In 1997, he founded the company João TM Barbosa Vinhos, which currently has two wineries distributed between two regions, Alto Alentejo and Tejo, where organic grapes have been produced since 2012 and 2020, respectively. Family business with deep respect for nature and the land, which opts for low-intervention natural wines so that the wine reflects the year and place of harvest, making them author and authentic wines. The company is guided by the symbolism of the blue rose (present in all its products), with the promise to always do better and where responsible production is more than an objective, it is the path.
